Products + Ingredients
What does “preservative-free” mean?
Every Apiarist product is formulated without synthetic preservatives, parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. Our formulas rely on naturally stable oils and butters. Because no chemical preservatives are added, we recommend storing products in a cool, dry place and using them within six months of opening.
Are your products organic?
We source cold-pressed, unrefined oils wherever possible and prioritize high-quality, minimally processed ingredients. While not all of our ingredients carry organic certification, every ingredient is selected for its purity and nutritional profile.
What is the difference between your fragrance, essential oil, and unscented body creams?
All of our body creams share the same nourishing seven-oil base. Fragrance varieties are finished with carefully selected fragrance oils for a subtle, lasting scent. Essential oil varieties use only pure, plant-derived essential oils—no synthetic fragrance. Unscented varieties contain the pure botanical base with no added scent of any kind.
Are your products vegan?
Most Apiarist products contain honey (Mel), a natural humectant central to our formulations. Our products are cruelty-free but not vegan due to the inclusion of honey.
What skin types are your products suitable for?
Our body creams and face care products are formulated to support all skin types. The botanical oils we use are naturally rich in fatty acids and vitamins that nourish without clogging pores. If you have specific sensitivities or allergies, please review the full ingredient list on each product page or contact us before purchasing.
I have a nut allergy. Are your products safe for me?
Several of our products contain sweet almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) and, in some cases, bitter almond oil. If you have a tree nut allergy, please review the complete ingredient list on each product page and consult your physician before use.
Why do your products sometimes look or smell slightly different between orders?
Because we use cold-pressed, unrefined, and naturally derived ingredients, slight variations in color, texture, and scent between batches are normal. These variations are a hallmark of small-batch, preservative-free production and do not affect product quality or performance.
Hair Care
What hair types are your hair products designed for?
Our leave-in conditioner and detangler are formulated for curly, kinky, coarse, and textured hair. They can also be used on finer hair in smaller amounts. The detangler can be mixed with conditioner and rinsed out for lighter application.
Can I use the leave-in conditioner before heat styling?
Yes. Our leave-in conditioner is excellent for use before blow-drying. It provides a protective layer of moisture and conditioning that helps reduce heat-related damage and breakage.
Orders + Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Orders are typically processed within 2–3 business days. Standard shipping within the continental United States takes 5–7 business days after processing. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we ship within the United States only. International shipping is something we hope to offer in the future.
My order arrived damaged. What do I do?
Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
Storage + Shelf Life
How should I store my Apiarist products?
Store all products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Because our products are preservative-free, proper storage helps maintain freshness and consistency.
How long do your products last?
We recommend using all Apiarist products within six months of opening. Unopened products stored properly are best used within twelve months of purchase.
